The Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame is located in Hayward, Wisconsin. It is a museum that promotes fresh water fishing and has over 100,000 visitors annually.

Shaw Grigsby

Bass Pro Tour and Elite pro Shaw Grigsby is one of the most successful anglers in the history of the sport. He has won nine BASS tournaments, has earned more than $2 million in career earnings and is the host of the television show One More Cast with Shaw Grigsby.

Shaw Grigsby was inducted into the bass fishing hall of fame in 2017. Founded in 1999, the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame is dedicated to the celebration of bass fishing. The exhibit features authentic rods and reels, historical photos and replicas of world-record bass.

The exhibit was originally located in Alabama. It is now located in Springfield, Missouri. It is housed in the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, which is adjacent to the national headquarters of Bass Pro Shops.

Tommy Biffle

The Bass Fishing Hall of Fame was founded in 1999 to honor the contributions of the bass fishing community. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the sport of bass fishing. In addition to recognizing its members, the BFHOF also gives out conservation grants to worthy projects. This year’s induction class includes six individuals who will be inducted during a ceremony in Springfield, Missouri, on October 6th.

Aaron Martens was a bass angler who won events on the FLW Tour and the Bass Pro Tour. He was noted for his finesse and big-bait techniques. He passed away in the year 2021 after a battle with cancer.

Dewey Kendrick was a tournament director for the Bass Anglers Sportsmen Society (BASS) from 1986 until 2002. He spearheaded many changes in the professional tournament fishing scene. He was instrumental in expanding the limit from three to five fish and advocating for the sight fish hooking rule.

Lonnie Stanley

Lonnie Stanley is one of the founding fathers of the bass fishing industry. He made his mark as a professional angler and as an innovative tackle maker. His jigs and spinnerbaits were the go-to baits for many pro bass anglers.

Lonnie Stanley was a native of Huntington, Texas. He attended Zavalla High School, where he met his wife Patsy. They had three daughters.

During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Stanley became interested in bass fishing. His interest led him to create his own jig, and soon he began selling it at local tournaments. Afterwards, he started his own lure company.

Lonnie Stanley became a legend in the local southeast Texas tournament circuit. He qualified for five Bassmaster Classics and won several competitive events.

Lonnie’s success in tournaments also inspired him to create his own tackle business. In 1979, he founded Stanley Lures. This company specializes in manufacturing jigs and spinnerbaits.

Steve Quinn

Steve Quinn has been involved in the fishing industry for over three decades. His work spans the fields of tournament fishing, media, and science. He is a Certified Fisheries Professional with the American Fisheries Association. As an author, he has received writing awards from the Outdoor Writers Association of America and the American Fisheries Society.

After receiving a master’s degree in fisheries biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, he served for five years with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. In 1988, he accepted an editorial position at the In-Fisherman magazine.

In addition to serving as an editor for In-Fisherman, Quinn has authored hundreds of articles for scientific publications and other media outlets. He has also written an extensive book series.

Quinn has become an important bridge between scientists and anglers. Through his publications, he has helped anglers throughout North America catch more fish.

Aaron Martens

Aaron Martens is a pro bass angler from Leeds, Alabama. He is an Elite Series fisherman, and he also fished on the Bass Pro Tour. His career included over $3 million in earnings. Aside from his competitive achievements, he is also known for his finesse and big bait techniques.

He is considered the most successful professional bass angler of all time. His career started in 1999. In that year, he won the Bassmaster Western Opens and qualified for the Top 150 tour. From there, he earned his first Elite Series win in May of that year at Lake Havasu in Arizona.

He also won three WON Bass U.S. Open titles in 2004, 2005 and 2011. He was a four-time runner-up in the Bassmaster Classic.

Martens was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of cancer, in the spring of 2020. It was a difficult battle for him. After 19 months, he passed away. The Bass Fishing Hall of Fame has posthumously inducted Martens into the hall of fame.
