FFXIV Spear Fishing is one of the most enjoyable things you can do on this game. However, there are some challenges you need to face. You have to get familiar with the different areas of the map and how they interact with each other. Then, you have to learn about the fish that are found in the waters. It’s also essential that you know how to level these fish. If you are not able to do this, you may find yourself unable to progress.
Endwalker
The Endwalker expansion for Final Fantasy XIV brings several new areas and classes to the game. It also introduces a new, improved mechanic for the spearfishing system. Using the Shark Eye, players can now go under the water and spearfish.
To do so, they’ll need to equip spearfishing gear and head underwater. Players will interact with glowing spots to trigger a minigame. Once the timer is up, the area will disappear. Assuming the player is successful, the fish will be unlocked. In some cases, the player will receive a skill that enables them to find more fish.
One of the most valuable fish in the game is the Gilled Topknot. This is a rare type of fish that sells for a lot of Gil on the Market Board. You can also do an Aetherial Reduction on the fish to get Moonlight Aethersand.
Old system
The old system for spear fishing in Final Fantasy XIV has come to an end. It is replaced by a new one, but the process hasn’t changed much.
There are still some fish available to hook, but the HQ fish are gone. Instead, the fish will be “large-sized.” In addition to this, the method for recording the size of fish has changed.
If you haven’t already, it’s time to get back to the hunt. This is because Final Fantasy XIV is coming back to a busy season. You’ll have access to a new mini-game, a new area for spearfishing, and some new recipes.
Sea Pickles
Fishing is a big part of the Final Fantasy XIV experience. For some players it’s a source of pleasure and for others it’s just a source of stress and frustration. Regardless of your reasons for getting into the game, it’s important to know that there’s an army of dedicated and enthusiastic gamers out there ready to teach you all they know. The trick is to find the best and most reliable tips and tricks. A little research will go a long way towards achieving your goal of becoming an expert angler. With a little knowledge you’ll be catching the fish of champions in no time.
Patience
Patience is a useful tool for Fishers in FFXIV. It can increase the odds of pulling in some of the rarest fish in the game. However, it is not 100% effective. You may need to use other skills in conjunction with Patience.
In addition to Patience, there are a few other skill and hook skills that can affect your catches. For example, you can use the skill called Surface Slap, which will electrify the water. This effect only works once, but it will make sure that your next catch will be a big one.
The skill Identical Cast reduces the wariness of nearby fish. This is the same skill that is used to catch an Icthyosaur, an underwater creature.
Truth Of Oceans
If you’re looking to make a splash in Final Fantasy XIV’s underwater world, you might want to try fishing. This novelty activity is fast paced and rewarding, and is sure to please those in search of a break from the grind.
Unlike other jobs, however, fishing in FFXIV doesn’t provide the same sort of practical rewards as more involved gathering activities. And since there’s a limit of 50 minutes of fishing, you won’t be able to spend your entire day on it. Luckily, there are some ways to keep fishing interesting without having to commit all your time to the endeavor.
Leveling fish with Leves and GC turn-ins
When leveling fish, there are two options available. You can go for the casual grind or use GC turn-ins and Leves. However, you need to be sure that you get high quality turn-ins. Otherwise, you might end up with a lot of experience without much gear.
The best way to level fish is with GC and Leves. GC missions have a daily cap. They require a certain amount of gil and base EXP. This method works for levels 60-70.
Gathering materials at a certain Collectability nets you a White Scrip. These can be traded for simple endgame gathering gear. There are also Endwalker turn-ins that can be gathered while leveling.
